Spider Web Rig
Shoot, grow and rig spider webs in Maya.
Webs are fiddly set dressing and even fiddlier to animate. Building them strand by strand, then making them sit on a surface or react to a character, eats time better spent on the shot.
Dressed into a set.
Place webs in corners and between props, then tune density and strands to suit the shot.
Conforms to uneven and angled surfaces.
Surface Conform adapts a web to the surface it's attached to: a flat wall, a curved rock, a corner or uneven ground.

Drag it, keyframe it.
Web Rig mode adds controllers that deform the web, so you can animate it like anything else in the scene.
